CBSE Term 1 Board Exams 2021: Important Details to Keep in Mind

CBSE Term 1 2021 Board Review: The Central Council for Secondary Education, CBSE, is ready to start the first trimester board exams for students in grades 10 and 12 from November 30 and December 1, respectively. On October 18, the CBSE released the long-awaited date sheets for Classes 10 and 12, Quarter 1.

For Class 10, the CBSE will begin the first trimester board exam from November 30 and run through December 11. For class 12, the CBSE will begin the first trimester board exam from December 1 and run through December 22.

Starting in the 2021-2022 academic year, the CBSE has moved to the two-term board review model, following which many state councils also decide on the same.

Important points to remember:

The CBSE will offer 114 subjects in class 12 and 75 subjects in class 10. The council has decided that the subjects it offers will be divided into two parts: main subjects and secondary subjects.

The CBSE Term 1 exam will last 90 minutes for each subject and will be based on a MCQ. Students will have 20 minutes to read the document instead of 15 minutes. The CBSE board review will start at 11:30 am instead of the usual 10:30 am.

The semester 2 exam will take place in March-April 2022 and will feature a mix of subjective and objective questions.

The results of the CBSE 2022 Trim 1 board exam will be reported only as grades in each subject. No student will be placed in the pass, compartment and essential repetition categories after the first trimester exam. Final results will be declared after the completion of the CBSE Term 2 Board exam.
